Signing In and Password Trouble
You sign in the same way you signed up — with your email and password, or with Apple or Google. If you set up biometric unlock, your device also asks for Face ID or your fingerprint when you open the app.

Common Questions
How do I sign in?
With your email address and password, or by continuing with Apple or Google — whichever you used to sign up.
How do I change my password?
While signed in, go to Profile > Manage Account and tap Reset Password. ToolBud emails a reset link to the address on your account. This option only appears if your account has a password — accounts that only use Apple or Google do not have one.
I forgot my password and cannot sign in. What now?
Email support@toolbudapp.com from the address on your account and we will help you get back in. The sign-in screen has no self-service password reset — resetting your own password requires being signed in, under Profile > Manage Account. If Apple or Google is linked to the same email, continuing with that provider signs you straight in.
I signed up with email but tapped Apple (or the reverse). Did I make a second account?
No. When ToolBud sees the same email address arriving through a different provider, it offers to link that provider to your existing account rather than creating a new one.
Can I sign in with my phone number?
No. Your phone number is verified during setup and used for notifications, but it is not a sign-in method.
What is biometric unlock?
An optional lock over the app itself. Turn it on in Profile > Manage Account and your device will ask for Face ID or your fingerprint when you open ToolBud. It is handled entirely by your device — ToolBud never receives your face or fingerprint data — and it protects the app on a shared device rather than replacing your sign-in.
Face ID stopped working. How do I get in?
Your device offers its passcode as a fallback. If you are still stuck, turn biometric unlock off in your device settings for ToolBud, or email support@toolbudapp.com.
