Get Help From Your Community
ToolBud has several governed ways to ask nearby people for help. In Projects, the Get Help From Your Community section offers Pro Recommendation, Project Advice, Helping Hand, and Paid Job. In Borrow no-results, ToolBud can help you ask your community or friends for a specific tool, or route you to setup steps before posting.

Do
•Use Pro Recommendation when you need a trusted neighbor referral for a professional
•Use Project Advice when you want tips or lessons from neighbors
•Use Helping Hand for an unpaid neighborly favor
•Use Paid Job when you are offering a small direct payment to a neighbor for project help
•Review generated post wording before tapping Post It
•Expect audience gates: community members can post to community, users with friends may post to friends, and users without an audience may be routed to Join or Create a Community or Add Friends first
Don't
•Use community-help as an open Feed composer
•Post identity-restricted asks or contractor-scale jobs
•Expect ToolBud to collect, hold, escrow, or pay money for Paid Job posts
•Use project advice when you are actually looking for a specific borrowable tool - use Borrow's no-results ask instead
Common Questions
What is review-before-post?
ToolBud shows the generated public wording before publishing. You can edit details or cancel instead of posting.
Can I post to friends instead of the community?
If you are not verified but you have friends, community-help and borrow no-results flows can use a friends audience where the current flow supports it.
Does ToolBud process payment for Paid Job posts?
No. Any payment is arranged directly between neighbors. ToolBud does not collect, hold, escrow, invoice, or pay out funds.
